Position Summary

TrustPoint hires a small cohort of highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students each year over the summer months as interns and/or during the school year as Co-Op students. We expect you to directly support mission critical tasks across the spectrum of technical functions from Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to Software Development, Automation, and Satellite Systems. Our intern program manager will work with each intern/Co-op to identify a primary project that best meet your interests and skillsets. You will, however, also have the freedom to see and support all aspects of our business and learn about the GNSS/GPS/PNT industry as a whole.

Possible Intern and Co-Op Roles at TrustPoint

  • Satellite Systems Engineering (System Design, Requirements Derivation, Test Development etc)
  • Electrical Engineering Projects (Board Design, Layout, Testing, Analog/Digital)
  • Mechanical Engineering Projects (CAD, Mech Analysis, Environmental Testing etc)
  • Software and Firmware Development (Embedded Systems, Linux Apps, Cloud Integrations etc)
  • Satellite Operations and Ground Station Development
  • Network Design and Security Development
  • Network Operations and Maintenance (DevOps, SecDevOps, etc)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a part time of full time student in a technical degree program at an accredited four year university (Engineering, Science, Math etc).
  • Hands on project experience with one or more of the following:
    • Communications, RF Systems, and Software Defined Radios
    • GNSS and Autonomous Navigation
    • Robotics
    • Satellite Systems Engineering
    • Satellite and Satellite Component Integration and Testing
    • Linux/Python
    • C/Embedded Programming
    • Computer Aided Design (CAD)
    • Encryption and Network Security

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 22 CFR §120.15 and 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3) is required.
